Hey friends and BBQ lovers!

 

It's Carlos "Chubs" here. I wanted to share some exciting news as we kick off the official start of summer this weekend!

 

My wife Lia and I welcomed our beautiful baby boy, Lil Leo, into the world 10 months ago. Since then, We've been soaking up every moment with him, and it's been an incredible journey filled with joy, love and a bit of delightful chaos.

 

Being a new parent has been nothing short of amazing. I love spending time with my son, doing the same things over and over again so he can learn. Every moment with Leo is a precious memory , from his first smile to his first steps. It's incredible to watch him grow and discover the world around him. Each day brings new surprises and a deeper bond between us.

 

After working for 30 years to survive, having Leo has given me a new purpose. My career has been fulfilling, but nothing compares to the joy of fatherhood. Now, I have a son who depends on me for the next 20+ years, and it's so important to me that he is set up to do anything he wants in life as long as it makes him happy. Teaching him values, sharing laughs, and simply being there for him is the most rewarding job I've ever had.

 

Parenthood has also given me a fresh perspective on life. It's a constant reminder that the little things truly matter. Whether it's reading him bedtime stories or watching him explore the backyard, these moments are invaluable. As they say, if you love what you do, you don't work a day in your life, right? This sentiment has never felt truer since becoming a dad.

 

With the warmer weather finally here, I'm thrilled to announce that White Deer BBQ is back! We'll be serving up our delicious smoked BBQ during major holidays this summer, including Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Oktoberfest. The smoky aroma, the sizzle of the grill, and the joy of serving our community have all been missed dearly.

 

I appreciate all your support and patience as we've been balancing parenthood and our love for BBQ. Your understanding has meant the world to us. Now, with a renewed spirit and a heart full of gratitude, we are ready to bring you the best BBQ experience once again.

 

I can't wait to see you and share some mouth-watering BBQ! Let's make this summer unforgettable with good food and great company.
